False reports of atrocities were spread to justify this retaliation, fueling the dehumanization of Palestinians and framing the annihilation as a necessary action in the name of security. Western media eagerly disseminated these unfounded claims, further erasing the humanity of those suffering under Israel’s military strikes.

Journalists who sought to expose the atrocities and war crimes being committed have faced censorship and suppression from their own organizations. Efforts to highlight the suffering of Palestinians have been met with resistance, with many reporters being forced to downplay the violence or present Israeli actions as defensive. The double standard in reporting has been stark—Israeli deaths are framed as tragedies, while Palestinian lives are reduced to mere numbers.
